Blanket Day
Saturday, April 22nd - 10 AM to 3 PM
Roane State Community College
Oak Ridge Campus – 701 Briarcliff Avenue (Goff Building)

A Blanket Day is a gathering of friends, family, volunteers, and others to knit, crochet, quilt, or sew blankets.  Can’t sew?  Don’t worry we have plenty for you to do – you can help sew labels, check blankets or even learn to “tie” a quilt.  Feel free to bring your crocheting or knitting to work on – there will be a nice lounge area for this.  Or, just stop by to learn more about Project Linus of East TN and how we are nearing our goal of donating 30,000 blankets to children in traumatic situations.

Registration is NOT required but we’d love for you to RSVP so we can plan.  There is NO cost for the Blanket Day.  Snacks and drinks will be available throughout the day.

Click the button to register online.  You can also register by calling Deb Miller at 865 719-2862 or emailing her at .  Also Contact Deb if you have questions.

When you RSVP, please let us know:
  • Are you planning on bringing a sewing machine to make blankets?  We’d love that – bring your own materials or we will provide them for you.
  • Would you like to use a machine but don’t have one to bring?  If so, we have a few available for use.
  •  Number of people attending in your group.

Are you a High School or College Student Needing to Complete Your Volunteer/Community Service Hours?  Please RSVP and come help us on Blanket Day. Be sure to check in at the registration so we can be sure to get you credit for your hours.

Note: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
