Photos from Row Quilt Class with thanks to Karen Feltner for teaching the class and Roane State for letting us hold it on their Oak Ridge campus. Instructions are available here.

Photos from the 2014 Snowball Express event held every December for as many as 2,000 children, teenagers and their families in Dallas, Texas. Though they come from all over the country and even international locations to participate in Snowball Express, these children all have one very important thing in common: each one has lost a parent on active duty.  Project Linus of East Tennessee is very proud of our blanketeers who provide blankets each year for this wonderful event.

InAsMuch Events - April 2013

A Special Thanks to Annhara Henderson for representing Project Linus at Fountain City United Methodist Church.  Deb represented Project Linus at a similar event at John Sevier Baptist Church.   Both events were on Saturday, April 13th as a part of Knox County’s Operation InAsMuch project.  More info at:  http://operationinasmuch.org/

These events were part of an initiative to encourage churches to hold events to support service efforts in their communities.  Each of the churches held events to have children make hand drawn quilt squares with fabric permanent markers.  Thanks to both churches for your efforts.

SNOWBALL EXPRESS EVENT 12/2011

Snowball Express is one of the events supported by Project Linus of East Tennessee and many other Chapters around the nation.  Every year blankets are sent to Snowball Express for an annual event held in December in Dallas, TX.  The blankets are given to the children of fallen Military heroes who have died while on active duty since 9/11.  These photos are from last year's event.  You can find out more information about Snowball Express at www.snowballexpress.org

CHALLENGE QUILTS

Thanks to Dianna Kring for making these "challenge quilts" for the PL conference (most chapters enter quilt(s) made out of the same fabric).  I will bring them back with me and they will be given to children that lose a loved one in the war...either locally or through TAPS.
